Nephews Sea Monkeys
So, I was at my beloved sista’s house and saw this awesome container of sea monkeys. Everyone loves these things right?? And has grown some in their life…?
Well, there is a hilarious
to me story that I HAVE to share with you about these awesome little Sea dudes.
So this container is sitting on the counter and I am looking into it hoping to see the little rascals and I see “water”. I was asking how long it takes for them to grow when I hear the evil laugh from sista’s hubby. Now when I say evil laugh, I mean evil… it is a funny sinister sounding laugh… and then my sista’s laugh chimed in as well. They exchanged “haha, uh-oh” glances…
So of course I needed to know the back story to their laughter.
Apparently my nephew got these Sea Monkeys for Easter and had been caring for them very well, but nothing was growing. Why, you ask??
Apparently, the sista’s hubby thought the container was one of those old school containers full of water and a button on the front… ya know… the ones where you push the button and the water/air bubbles force the little rings to float around and you try to get them to land on little pegs or something. So he picks it up and shakes it… for what reason, I do not know. Maybe to make the “rings float up. HAHAHA! But it is not one of those toys, it is a habitat for sea monkeys! So the lid flew off and and the water/sea monkeys went flying onto their kitchen counter. BAHAHAHAHAHA! Hilarious right? But here is the best part: They didn’t want to disappoint my nephew so they filled it with water and put it back on the counter next to its food and care instructions. My nephew (5 yrs old), would watch attentively at those sea monkeys and properly care for them… yet nothing was happening. LOL… cause the sea monkeys were all over the counter dehydrated. HAHAHA.
Luckily, it was my nephews weekend to visit his Dad and while he was gone my (cool as hell) Sista’ went and bought a new sea monkey habitat and replaced the “water” container.
Now, happily, my Nephew is ecstatic because his Easter Sea Monkeys are FINALLY coming out of their shells. 😉
Please… envision this and have a laugh. I laughed my arse off!
